SLIDING, CRAWLING AND WALKING

  It has been an amazing experience being able to witness a little creature developing from an infant to becoming a toddler.  Annisa started making "noises" at the age of about three months.  We would always say, "If she can utter words, I am sure she will be a chatterbox.."  Of course this is the case today. She started sliding at about four to five months old and crawling at eight months.  She made her step just before she reached her first year.   Annisa was an active baby.  She wouldn't sit in the car seat and will cry every time we put her in the car seat.  It was rather challenging having her in the car for she will be moving everywhere... she still does. She loved singing and dancing but to my observation she doesn't have the flair to both.

THE CHALLENGES OF CARING OF AN INFANT

  We had to make a lot of adjustments in terms of daily schedule when she entered our lives.   Kakak had to commute to her work place everyday which is around an hour journey to and another hour from work to home. Abid had to sit and tend her needs during the day.  I was still working from early morning till late afternoon. Me, Kakak and her slept together on my queen bed.  It is quite crowded but it kept me company since Rahim is no more. It was quite tiring for all of us during the first few months but as time progressed, it became a beautiful routine. Watching how she grew month after month somehow brought us closer to one another.  We dotted over her and every one tried to participate in this new journey of our life as a family.

However it was fated and we had no other choice than accepting this beautiful gift with open arms for Allah knows the best.

A DEDICATION TO MY PRECIOUS

  Annisa is Allah's gift to my family.  When Allah took  Rahim to his eternal abode, I thought that I will be standing alone spending whatever time is remaining of my life on this earth. Allah is all knowing and with His benevolence He replaced Rahim with a little being we named Annisa a week before his demise. Despite being a little bit lost after Rahim passed on, Annisa was there to somewhat took away some of the sorrow. She grew up in front of my eyes. I witnessed her first word, which happened to be my name.. Mbah.. her first step and now she is always with me for these four years plus of her life. From an active baby, Annisa is now a chatter box.  She has a lot of stories to tell every time.  May Allah continue to bless her with all the good things in life. This is me with one year old Annisa.
